About Royal Golf Marrakech, Marrakech
Royal Golf Marrakech is situated at the feet of the snow-covered Atlas Mountains and is the oldest golf course in Morocco. The course has more of an English feel to it than the newer courses such as Golf Alkemis, with less emphasis on water hazards and large bunkers, but more on carefully placed bunkers and tall trees protecting the pin.
More than 15,000 trees line the fairways of Royal Golf Marrakech including Alep pins, eucalyptus, palm trees, olive trees, and orange trees. The signature hole, the infamous hole 15 is nicknamed locally as Brigitte Bardot because of its beautiful shapes. This course is one to consider on your golf holiday to Marrakech given its steep history in African golf and its role in helping bring golf to Morocco.
