Whether you are organising a stag do, a hen weekend, a birthday golfing weekend, or just an excuse to get your friends together for a few nights out, there are plenty of destinations in Europe for a golf break that can offer lively nightlife. We have profiled a few of the most popular ones below:
Benidorm
No guide to nightlife on a golfing weekend is complete without this infamous hot spot. A long time favourite of British tourists, Benidorm provides a party atmosphere pretty much all year round. During the summer months it’s full of a younger crowd filling the local night clubs however you’ll find lots of golfers, stag and hen parties during the other months.
Some of the iconic venues in Benidorm include the Benidorm Palace which hosts variety and cabaret acts. It is also where Johnny Vegas filmed his live stand up show and he is still a regular there with his more recent show, Comedy Heroes. For fans of the television series Benidorm also featuring Johnny Vegas, you can visit Neptunes Bar which is actually Morgan Tavern in Calle Girona.
For those looking for nightclubs, there are a raft of them on Avenida Communitat Valencia, a street in the town. Keep your eyes peeled for discounts and deals from the various promoters outside!
Puerto Banus
This part of the Costa Del Sol has always been popular with golfers looking for evening entertainment however it’s profile has risen in recent years after becoming fashionable with footballers and reality television stars. In the summer months this has attracted a younger crowd and wilder parties but in the golfing season it calms down somewhat however is still popular with stag and hen parties all year round.
Like Vilamoura, this is resort which is centred around a Marina with lots of bars and restaurants surrounding it which makes for a visually appealing evening. Worth looking for restaurants and bars off the Marina front if you are looking for value for money or watching the purse strings.
Vilamoura
This is one of the most popular spots for golfers, making it a destination that is busy in the golfing season as well as the summer season. All the nightlife is centred around the Marina, providing a stunning back drop when enjoying the bars and restaurants.
Although great for nightlife, it’s not as wild as Benidorm or even Puerto Banus and during the golfing season it is mainly populated by golfers unlike other areas which are more diverse.
For those looking for a younger crowd and even more nightlife can take the 25 minute taxi ride to Albufeira which is popular with a younger crowd.
Salou
Salou is the main resort in the rapidly up and coming golf holiday destination of Costa Dorada and provides a wide range of evening nightlife options. Everything from nightclubs to the more traditional flamenco shows are on offer here.
We suggest heading to the area around Murillo and Carles Buigas because of the number of bars and nightclubs here but its even worth checking out nearby towns of La Pindeda which features a number of bars on the strip, whilst Cambrills has bars littered across the town.
